The ABA administers a national book voucher scheme which enables booksellers to offer for sale a
range of distinctive vouchers (plus matching envelopes) that can be redeemed anywhere in Australia.
Bookshops purchase Australian Book Vouchers from the ABA at face value less 10 per cent, which
provides a 10 per cent return on their sales of vouchers to customers.
All ABA members agree to redeem Australian Book Vouchers at face value less 10 per cent. By
redeeming ABA vouchers, booksellers have the prospect of making sales they might otherwise not
have made, as well as generating add-on sales.
